  • Fantastic Arcade Block One
    ALAMO SOUTH LAMAR, THEATER 3  The first block of talks for Fantastic Arcade 2016 opens with Tijmen Tio and Tom van den Boogaart of Dutch game collective Sokpop, showing off their original creation for Fantastic Arcade, Lassos, They'll be joined by Adriaan de Jongh, presenting the whimsically illustrated Hidden Folks.   • Fantastic Arcade Block Two

  • Fantastic Arcade Block Three
    ALAMO SOUTH LAMAR, THEATER 3 Our first tournament of Fantastic Arcade 2016 will set the stage for this year's Starcade. Multibowl, by Alec Thompson and Bennet Foddy, is a new experimental digital blender that takes hundreds games both classic and obscure and weaves them into a collage of timed two player challenges, in Starcade style! We'll select our Starcade challengers this year with a prelim tournament, and two will go on to compete on the final day of Arcade in the Highball!  To ensure a seat at this free event, ask for a ticket for Arcade Block 3 at the ticket counter, no badge is required.
  • Fantastic Arcade Opening Party
    Come celebrate the opening day of Fantastic Arcade with live DJ sets and games, including an exclusive peek into Kokoromi’s PlayStation VR game SUPERHYPERCUBE. SUPERHYPERCUBE is a retro-future game in which you float through virtual world, rotating a cluster of cubes to narrowly fit through an endless stream of form-fitting walls. Inspired by the user interfaces and analog special effects of classic films like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner & Xanadu, SUPERHYPERCUBE is one of our most anticipated PlayStation VR games.   • Fantastic Arcade Block Five
    ALAMO SOUTH LAMAR, THEATER 3 Developer Charlie Elwonger presents Into, and Owlchemy Labs, creators of Job Simulator and the upcoming VR title Rick and Morty Simulator show off their work and take a moment to judge your bad VR game pitch ideas. Both located in Austin, we're proud to have these amazing developers on stage at Fantastic Arcade.   • Fantastic Arcade Block Six
    ALAMO SOUTH LAMAR, THEATER 3 Sony has been putting the spotlight on indie developers all year, and making their platforms friendlier than ever to self-publish on – if you’re an indie developer, Sony would love to work with you! The SCEA Developer Relations will be on-hand to talk about the process and answer any burning questions you may have. Block three will begin with a look at Thoth, with developer Jeppe Carlsen and Double Fine's Greg Rice, followed by our friends from Sony, and then Tumbleseed with David Laskey and Benedict Fritz, coming soon to Playstation.   • Fantastic Arcade Block Seven

  • Fantastic Arcade Block Eight: Swatpaz Night

  • Fantastic Arcade Block Nine
    ALAMO SOUTH LAMAR, THEATER 3 Join us for our second annual panel of hardware amusements- games and distractions that toss the screen and invade the arcade. This year we're excited to have DIY tinkerers Mickey Delp and Alan Watts let us peek into their laboratories and explain this year's mad arcade creations, plus Randy Smith who has created a custom adventure game, Knight Brite for Mickey's new hardware while it's still being created. Following close behind, Andy "Batsley Adams" Reitano, creator of last year's audience choice award winning Super Russian Roulette will be returning with he and Zachary "Zachstronaut" Johnson's massively-glitchable NESpectre.   • Fantastic Arcade Block Ten
    ALAMO SOUTH LAMAR, THEATER 3 Tim Keenan presents sci-fi drone piloting sim Duskers, joined by Nathalie Lawhead, who has TWO games in Arcade this year- her mini-game compilation Armagad, and her original cabinet creation F20GGY.   • Fantastic Arcade Block Eleven
    ALAMO SOUTH LAMAR, THEATER 3 Join guest developer Ojiro "Moppin" Fumoto to learn about Downwell and his spotlight game nium, co-created with artist Nemk.  To ensure a seat at this free event, ask for a ticket for Arcade Block 11 at the ticket counter, no badge is required.
  • Fantastic Arcade Block 12 Tournaments

  • Fantastic Arcade Block 13: FANTASTIC MOTION VIDEO
    ALAMO SOUTH LAMAR, THEATER 3 FANTASTIC FEST FULL MOTION VIDEO! Join Sagan Yee (Toronto’s Hand Eye Society) and Peter Kuplowsky (Fantastic Fest) on an outrageous adventure through the short-lived, scan line-ridden era of Full Motion Video games and “interactive cinema”! We’ve resurrected several movie/game chimeras created at the height of Hollywood’s FMV hubris for this historical presentation (featuring several big stars in unfortunate roles), as well as spliced together our own grotesque experiment set on the grounds of Fantastic Fest itself. Experience a collective playthrough of FANTASTIC FEST: THE GAME on the big screen, the way it was meant to be seen!   • Fantastic Arcade Block 15
    ALAMO SOUTH LAMAR, THEATER 3 David Kanaga and Ed Key, creators of Proteus return to Fantastic Arcade with seperate projects, Kanaga with one of the most fevered and unusual games in a long line of unconventional Fantastic Arcade games- OIK OS Book I. A game he describes as a "Dog Opera". Following David, Ed Key will offer a sneak peek at his hotly anticipated project, the beautiful Slavic storybook generator Forest of Sleep.  To ensure a seat at this free event, ask for a ticket for Arcade Block 15 at the ticket counter, no badge is required.
  • Fantastic Arcade VR Showcase
    Check out PlayStation VR titles set to premiere in October as well as a selection of cutting-edge titles curated by Juegos Rancheros and the Austin VR Meetup group.
  • STARCADE: MULTIBOWL FINALS
    The  final two challengers face off in the utimate match of MULTIBOWL, a collage of hundreds of classic two player games, played at breakneck speed.
