General Requirements

• Only feature films (fiction) can be submitted. Films with Latin American or Ibero-American filmmakers or producers as part of the production team are highly encouraged but not required.
• Must be within a widely recognized genre, which includes animation, horror, sci-fi, action, dark comedy or fantasy.
• The film may be in the development, pre-production or production stages. Films in post-production may submit a work-in-progress.
• Must be a feature-length project with international market potential for theatrical and VOD release.
• Project should be suitable for international co-production and open for co-producers.

 Requirements for Selected Pitch Projects

• If selected, at least one member of your team must attend Fantastic Market to represent the project.
• Each selected project shall receive one FAN badge with Industry and Market credentials. Additional badges will be available at discount rates.
• We cannot offer travel support for representatives of the selected projects.
• If your project is selected, and finds co-production partners or receives financing through Fantastic Market | Mercado Fantastico, you must include the Market logo within the credits of your completed film.

Submission Instructions

• There is a $25 (USD) submission fee. Once your project is submitted, you will be directed to a payment page (all major credit cards accepted). Unpaid entries will not be reviewed.
• No physical submissions of any kind will be accepted. The submission form accommodates all required materials, including online screening links.
• All items listed below must be included with any submission. Any submitted project that does not meet all of these requirements will not be reviewed. Additional supporting materials may be submitted at your discretion but are neither required nor encouraged.
  • A letter that introduces your project and project team. If the submitted project is your first feature, please note this in your letter.
  • A synopsis of 100 words or more.
  • One sentence logline.
  • A 5-8 page treatment.
  • Estimated budget (USD)
  • Proposed shooting locations. Please include all cities and states/provinces, along with the country, if known. These locations may be tentative.
  • A C.V. or resume for the director(s) and producer(s).
  • A sample of a prior work (if any) via secure or password-protected online links.
  • A full script is preferred but is not required.
  • Materials for all non-English language projects must be translated prior to submission.
