We brought FF chaos around the country, and the country has spoken.
This year we did something new, organizing a tour of Fantastic Fest titles in order to bring the chaos to Alamo Drafthouse theaters across the country. Read more about the tour here.
The titles included on the first annual Fantastic Fest tour are Navot Papushado and Aahron Keshales's Big Bad Wolves, Alex Van Warmerdam's Borgman, E.L. Katz's Cheap Thrills, Jeong Byeong Gil's Confession of Murder, Ari Folman's The Congress, Eugenio Mira's Grand Piano, Stephen Chow and Chi-Kin Kwok's Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons and Sion Sono's Why Don't You Play In Hell.
We polled audience members on their favorite titles of all the films, and we're excited to announce the 2013 Fantastic Fest Tour Audience Award Winners!
First place: Why Don't You Play In Hell
Second place: Cheap Thrills
Third place: Big Bad Wolves
Congrats to our winners! Three very different and entirely remarkable films that represent the spirit of Fantastic Fest beautifully.
