Fantastic Fest Favorite A DARK SONG Gets A New Trailer

You guys are gonna love this weird little movie.

Liam Gavin's A DARK SONG was one of the best movies we saw at Fantastic Fest last year, a creeping, dread-filled, meticulously-plotted occult horror indie that had more than a few audience members invoking the name of Ben Wheatley (high praise, indeed, from the Fantastic Fest crowd).

Today, we've got a brand new trailer for Gavin's film (his feature debut, by the way), and it's got us excited to see A DARK SONG all over again.

Check it out.

This looks really solid, right? It is (don't believe me? Read Brian Collins' Fantastic Fest review for a second opinion), and we're feeling pretty confident that the Birth.Movies.Death. crowd will eat this one up upon arrival.

Here's an official plot synopsis, if you're interested in such things:

Sophia is grief-stricken and overwhelmed with sadness since the untimely death of her young son. In a desperate attempt to achieve some form of closure, she reaches out to Solomon, an occultist with experience in an ancient invocation ritual that Sophia believes will allow her to make contact with her deceased child.

Locked away in a remote country house, the pair undergo a long and arduous ritual, risking both their mental and physical safety as they attempt to access a world beyond their understanding.

And here's a new poster! This is a full-service post, people!

A Dark Song will hit VOD, digital platforms and select theaters on April 28th. That's only a month away, so you have that long to get hyped.
