You can watch the heartwarming doc about house haunters again and again.
Great news! You can now purchase THE AMERICAN SCREAM, a Fantastic Fest 2012 favorite of audiences and critics alike, on Blu-ray/DVD! The film is one of my favorites of the year, a warm, funny and honest look at a trio of Halloween house haunters in Massachusetts, and if you missed it at its Fantastic Fest world premiere, I strongly recommend that you buy it sight unseen. You won't regret it!
The doc is from Michael Paul Stephenson, the director of the acclaimed and awesome BEST WORST MOVIE, and it follows each painstaking, expensive and sometimes dangerous detail that goes into transforming a home into a haunted house every October. After its Fantastic Fest theatrical debut, the movie made big waves with its television premiere on the Chiller Network just in time for Halloween, and although the season may feel a tad off, trust me that THE AMERICAN SCREAM would make a stellar Christmas present for any Halloween obsessive!
