The first half of Fantastic Fest is nearly behind us, and it's been a phenomenal few days. But we still have so much more fun, food, partying, adventure, chaos, karaoke and, most importantly, brain-bending cinema ahead. Let's dive in! And DON'T FORGET: tonight's our Dishoom Reigns Karaoke Party, and you are NOT going to want to miss that.
Are you signed up for our immensely popular Satanic Panic escape room? Remember: if you've reserved a room, please check in with The Highball host upon your arrival.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: please take a look at Ellie, the tiny human belonging to two of our behind-the-scenes Fantastic Fest heroes, Kody and Kimi. Fantastic Fest is for everyone!
So Day Three! We hosted our annual filmmaker shotgun adventure and Franklin BBQ journey, our traditional way of welcoming guests from around the world to the big blustery party that is Texas.
It was also Day Two of Fantastic Market, including Pitch Sessions and the SpectreVision secret screening of TRUTH OR DARE? A CRITICAL MADNESS.
We had enormously successful screenings of BELIEF: THE POSSESSION OF JANET MOSES, SCIENCE FICTION VOLUME ONE: THE OSIRIS CHILD, the SHORT FUSE short films program, the AFGA premiere of JUNGLE TRAP, BUSTER'S MAL HEART, RATS, THE EYES OF MY MOTHER, DON'T KILL IT, PHANTASM: REMASTERED, RE:BORN, CHIN-YU-KI and HEADSHOT.
And we're in Year Two of what's rapidly becoming a Fantastic Fest institution: ITCHY-OOOOOOOOO! This 30-something piece marching band from the bowels of hell has DESTROYED The Highball for two years running, and we are so happy to have them here.
