We're at Day Three - are you guys hanging in there? Taking care of yourself? Fantastic Fest is a marathon, not a sprint, so don't forget we're in this sucker for the long haul!
Day Two was jam-packed with screenings and events, and it was also the first day of Fantastic Market, including a talk with Evil Dead and Don't Breathe screenwriter Rodo Sayagues, the Shorts to Features panel and the Works in Progress panel:
Tim and Karrie League also hosted the annual filmmaker luncheon at their home, capped off by the traditional champagne sabrage.
We had brilliant, packed-house screenings of 24x36: A MOVIE ABOUT MOVIE POSTERS, NIRVANNA THE BAND SHOW, SWEET, SWEET LONELY GIRL, THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE, PERVERT BOY, MY ENTIRE HIGH SCHOOL SINKING THE SEA, AMERICAN HONEY, THE YOUNG OFFENDERS, A DARK SONG, THE BAD BATCH, AGE OF SHADOWS and the SHORTS WITH LEGS lineup.
The Highball was home to two terrific events yesterday, open to the public and a total blast: Doug Benson's DOUG LOVES MOVIES Podcast and The Meltdown comedy show with Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani.
And we had our twelfth annual Fantastic Debates, hosted by the great Owen Egerton and with a guest appearance than by none other than Dolph Lundgren (pic above)! Read on for the match-ups, with the winners in bold. You can watch the Facebook Live feed of the event HERE.
