The Team Behind THE FIELD GUIDE TO EVIL Are Doing A Reddit AMA Tomorrow

Here's your chance to have all your burning questions answered by the dynamic duo of Tim League and Ant Timpson.

Heads up: tomorrow afternoon at 3:30PM (EST), the team behind The Field Guide To Evil will be hosting their very own Ask Me Anything over on Reddit. This is your chance to have all your burning questions answered, whether they're about equity crowd-funding, the laundry list of talented filmmakers associated with the project, or what sort of weirdo folklore we can expect to see them exploring in the film.

Taking part in the AMA will be Alamo Drafthouse CEO/founder Tim League, uber-producer Ant Timpson, MicroVentures CEO Bill Clark, IndieGoGo co-founder Slava Rubin, and Neon/Drafthouse Films' James Shapiro. Here's how they're describing the event:

Hi, we’re the producing team behind the upcoming horror anthology THE FIELD GUIDE TO EVIL. You may also know us as the demented minds who brought you THE ABCs OF DEATH, TURBO KID and THE GREASY STRANGLER. We want to chat about THE FIELD GUIDE TO EVIL and the unique opportunity for any film fan across the world to become an investor in the production. We launched the very first equity crowd-funding campaign for a film on Indiegogo and MicroVentures through their funding portal, First Democracy VC. Along with a mind-blowing list of perks, we’re also able to offer fans everywhere the chance to become a true partner in the film. It has the potential to be a sea change for independent film and we’re honored to be the first filmmakers to be able to use this revolutionary platform. The film is a project that Tim League and I have been discussing for years – the chance to offer a global exploration of folklore and mythology. We’re both fascinated by the rich history of dark folklore that has evolved over centuries across different cultures. We’re working with a group of 8 of the most exciting filmmakers in the world - Veronika Franz & Severin Fiala (Goodnight Mommy), Peter Strickland (The Duke of Burgundy), Agnieszka Smoczynska (The Lure), Katrin Gebbe (Nothing Bad Can Happen), Can Evrenol (Baskin), Calvin Reeder (The Rambler), Yannis Veslemes (Norway), and Ashim Ahluwalia (Miss Lovely).

The AMA will take place tomorrow on the r/Movies subreddit. If you'd like to brush up on your Field Guide To Evil crowdfunding facts before then, you can read more on the project here, or head on over to the project's MicroVentures page and take a look a slew of pertinent info. Everyone else should be ready for what's sure to be a raucous-yet-informative AMA session at 3:30PM (EST), sharp.

See you there, folks!
