In an isolated military encampment in the far south of Chile, three teenagers plan to take revenge against their parents, bringing to life a terrifying mythological being that they hope will become the protector of their generation: the Invunche.
Aniceto Martínez, an officer in the Chilean Army, has been sent South to work on the construction of the Austral Route. In this remote, isolated forest setting, Aniceto’s paranoia over a dark past he can't leave behind rises to the surface, while his teenage daughter Rosa is led by her new friends Aaron and Ana into a macabre game of witchcraft, with the goal of bringing to life a dreadful mythological being from the local folklore: the Invunche. After years of suffering mistreatment and abuse from their parents, Aaron and Ana find in Rosa an ally for their vengeance: turning the Invunche into the protector of the new generation. Will this conjured monster really help the teenagers defeat the elders and transform this place of suffering into the haven of freedom they dearly desire?
