Fantastic Fest (Sept 20th-27th, 2018) premiers about 80 feature-length films and 40 short films over the course of eight days. Most films play at least twice: once in the first four days of the fest (Thursday-Sunday) and once in the last four days (Monday-Thursday). There are 5 rounds of screenings per day, the first starting around 10am and the last round starting around midnight. With the execptions of opening day and closing day, there are usually 5 films to select from per screening round. 

You must be 21 years or older to attend Fantastic Fest, and you must purchase a badge* to attend Fantastic Fest. Below you'll find information on the badge types available, and below that, important information about our badge policies. 

*we do occasionally release individual tickets for sale prior to screenings that aren't completely filled by badgeholders. Click here to learn more about individual tickets.


SUPERFAN BADGE: $640 (does not include taxes and fees) SOLD OUT- Covers the entire 8-day festival. Superfan badges are guaranteed admission to the movie of your choice at any given round and admission to all panels and parties. Superfan badgeholders also receive a free t-shirt, poster, and a souvenir Fantastic Fest bag.


FAN BADGE: $520 (does not include taxes and fees) SOLD OUT - Covers the entire 8-day festivalFan badges guarantee you a seat at all screening rounds during Fantastic Fest (just not necessarily your first choice of film in each round). Most films screen more than once, though, so you should be able to see everything you want, possibly with the exception of the high profile films, like secret screenings and opening/closing films. The Fan Badges also include access to all of the Fantastic Fest parties, including the opening and closing night parties.


INDUSTRY BADGE: $520 (does not include taxes and fees)  - Industry accreditation and badge information for Fantastic Fest 2018 avilable HERE


SECOND-HALF BADGE: $275 (does not include taxes and fees) SOLD OUT - Good for any screening during the second half of the fest (Monday-Thursday). 2nd-half badges guarantee you a seat at all screening rounds during the second half of Fantastic Fest (just not necessarily your first choice of film in each round). The 2nd-half festival badge also includes access to all of the Fantastic Fest parties in the 2nd-half of the fest, including the closing night party.


(NEW!) MIDNIGHT BADGE: $99 (does not include taxes and fees) SOLD OUT- The MIDNIGHT badge guarantees admission to the movie of your choice for the final screening rounds during the fest (Thursday 9/20-Wednesday 9/26). Screenings for the final round typically begin between 11p and 12a. The MIDNIGHT badge also includes access to all of the non-ticketed Fantastic Fest parties and events, which include all HighBall events and opening and closing night parties. The midnight badge does not include access to ticketed, non-movie in-theater events in the midnight round.

  • Wednesday, September 19th: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Thursday, September 20th - Wednesday September 26th: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM

**Second Half Badges can be picked up starting Sunday September 23rd at noon

All badge pickups are just north of the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar (1120 South Lamar Blvd, 78704), near the entrance to the parking garage.

You may only pick up your own badge. Please bring a valid photo ID when picking up your badge.


BADGE REFUNDS

Badge refunds may be requested up to 30 days prior to the first day of Fantastic Fest. All refund requests must be made through Eventbrite. Click here for instruction on requesting a refund.

Badges may be independently sold/transferred at any time by the badge owner up until the last Sunday prior to Fantastic Fest. See below.


SELLING OR TRANSFERRING YOUR BADGE:

If you cannot attend and decide to sell/transfer your badge, or if you simply need to update or correct your contact information, you must do it through Eventbrite. Click here for instruction on updating info.

Fantastic Fest is not liable for any third party badge sales, and any exchange of funds will be arranged at the discretion and risk of the parties involved. Fantastic Fest will gladly confirm the existence of a specific badge prior to a third party badge sale @ [email protected].
