Recaps From Fantastic Fest Days One and Two!

Welcome, Fantastic Friends! We had a bone-crunching opening to the festival and we're keeping the good times rolling!

Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on the amazing films and events. We'll have photos, Facebook Live videos, and important details there.

Day One
The U.S. premiere of HALLOWEEN kicked things off with a bang (or slash)! Jamie Lee Curtis, the cast, and producers of the film gave an excellent Q&A for our fist-pumping cinephiles. We followed that up with a ghoulish Halloween themed opening night party, complete with spooky costumes, outlandish party favors, and great music.

Finally, a late-night screening of THE PERFECTION wowed crowds, with stars Allison Williams and Logan Browning discussing this truly unique film. But that’s not all! On Facebook we also have lots of video from intros and Q&As for THE WIND and other premieres.

Day Two
Things continued at a breakneck pace on day two! The afternoon brought big crowds pumped for the enigmatic and riveting APOSTLE. Writer/Director Gareth Evans thrilled fans with his insight during a filmed Q&A.

The evening brought the critically acclaimed BURNING, with Steven Yeun in attendance. This perplexing and enriching film will have audiences talking for months, and Steven Yeun gave an enlightening Q&A discussing the process that brought this film to life.

Fans were presented with the fascinating and refreshing STARFISH, with Director A.T. White in attendance to discuss this complex work.

Finally, the famously frantic Fantastic Fest debates/boxing matches occurred at midnight, with combatants taking shots, both verbal and physical, to argue about the most controversial topics facing the film industry today! We have footage of two rounds of the debates as well as the intro and Q&A for DONNYBROOK. Fans also enjoyed watching TERRIFIED, MANIAC, and THE QUAKE on Friday Night. See all the photos for days one and two and the rest of the festival on Facebook.
