Hello, Fantastic Festers!

Happy New Year to all our audience members, filmmakers, friends and more out there!
SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW… OPEN!

A new year can only mean one thing, and that is WE ARE READY TO RECEIVE! Fantastic Fest is now accepting submissions for the 15th Edition of the Festival (19th September - 26th September), so don’t delay and submit that passion project of yours for us to consider.

Eligibility requirements for both feature and short films, deadlines and submission fees are as follows:

Running time for all feature films must be 70 minutes or more.
Running time for all shorts must be less than 30 minutes.
Selected films must be made available in a 35mm composite print, Blu-ray, or DCP.
Film submissions in a foreign language must be subtitled in English.
Acceptable screening format is an online screener. We do not accept hard copy screeners.
If submitting more than one film, a separate completed entry is required for each title.

FEATURE FILM DEADLINES:

Earlybird Deadline: February 21, 2019 - $50
Regular Deadline: April 25, 2019 - $60
Late Deadline: May 30, 2019  - $70
WAB Extended Deadline: June 20, 2019 - $80

SHORT FILM DEADLINES:

Earlybird Deadline: February 21, 2019 - $40
Regular Deadline: April 25, 2019 - $45
Late Deadline: May 30, 2019 - $50
WAB Extended Deadline: June 20, 2019 - $60

ALSO INTRODUCING…

2019 means a new batch of screening team members who are helping us create the most exciting, challenging and brilliant festival possible.

Our new screening team program saw a record number of applicants, and after a lengthy and difficult selection process, our Head of Submissions, Logan Taylor, invited the following participants to be a part of the team for this year.

We are also delighted to announce that Lisa Dreyer and Adam Ruhl will be returning as part of the submissions team. Lisa will operate as co-head of the team, alongside Logan Taylor.
